Mother Nature, presented by The North Face is a web series created with our friends at Beauvoir and is available right here.

Q: How many children do you have and how old are they?

A: I have an 18 month old daughter.

Q: Your most memorable family adventure/vacation (positive or negative) and why?

A: We spent a month in Mexico with our family when she was 6 1/2 months old. It was a very positive adventure. My boyfriend's in-laws came to join us for 2 weeks which really made it easier. We were also able to enjoy it as parents to surf and discover together while she was bonding with her grandparents. Everyone was a winner.

Q: The moment you felt most proud of as a mother?

A: Every time I see her discover or do something new. I always look at her father with my proud smile.

Q: The biggest challenge you've faced as a mother?

A: Accept (always a work in progress) the routine.

Q: Your dream family adventure/vacation?

A: I dream of going on a sailboat with my family for a long time. Surfing, fishing and discovering the coastal villages.

Q: Your best superpower as a mother?

A: That's a great question! I would say my creativity in activities and turnarounds. I excel in creating plan B, plan C etc...

Q: What's your snack of choice for you and your kids in adventure mode?

A: Cucumbers and breastfeeding!

Q: Your ideal day outside?

A: I would say a quiet morning with the family, sticking together and playing. A good nap. Followed by a short gravel bike ride to a beach. Finished with a swim and an outdoor meal.

Q: The 3 things you can't live without for an outdoor adventure with your kids?

A: This is a difficult question because with a baby there are always too many things to bring!
After the essentials (diapers, wipes, change of clothes) I would say:

  • The van.
  • Sunscreen.
  • Snacks.

Q: What's your best advice for other birth mothers?

A : D’écouter son niveau d’énergie. De ne pas se comparer avec les autres mamans-natures surtout dans les moments où elles se sentent plus fatiguées. C’est correct et nécéssaire de ralentir <3
