Growing old, yes, it is the reality for each of us! Being among the most senior in a group of women is my reality in my professional work and often in my various personal involvements. I am 46 years old and often out playing with women in their twenties, thirties and ladies my age or older too. Why do I do this? Well, the answer is simple, it's rejuvenating and fun at the same time! I know I am still very young in the eyes of many people.

Age is a number, a reference, and sometimes it, unfortunately, becomes a label according to certain persistent prejudices in our society. When I practice a sport with other women, my age becomes ephemeral, especially in a setting such as the Les Chèvres de Montagne community, a pressure-free experience focused on developing confidence and self-esteem. I have observed this for many years and through my life experiences. The curiosity to discover and consolidate new skills crosses all age groups. Being active at one's own pace is paramount over time. What could be better than daring to discover a new sport at age 52, a new trail at age 65, taking time out to train and becoming more autonomous in the practice of our passions? This has no age limit! And YES, it is possible to step out of your comfort zone while respecting your limits with other women who have the same needs. Being seen, heard and supported by other women through sport is a good lever to believe in yourself, your potential and your abilities. This is one of the reasons why Les Chèvres de Montagne has created an all-women community.

Ladies, no matter how old you are, inner talk is often the same for everyone! Am I fit enough to participate? Will I be up to it? My equipment is outdated, will I fit in the group? Am I capable of doing this? What will the others think of me? Will I slow down the group? My young wisdom has a way of telling you to TIME OUT or STOP! I know, it's easy to say. You CAN achieve realistic goals and challenges while keeping your pace. Make room for your confidence.

This is what I want to continue to do throughout the seasons. This is what Les Chèvres de Montagne offers me as a possibility to share my knowledge, expertise, and experiences while witnessing your perseverance and successes. For all these reasons, I continue to be involved at 2 x 23 years with young and old alike.

So what are you waiting for? Time is so precious!
