Ice canoe at sunset - Quebec

After a great success last winter, we're teaming up again with Canot à glace Expérience to offer you an unforgettable experience: an ice canoe trip at sunset. On the St. Lawrence River, directly from Quebec City, we go in search of the most beautiful ice. Experienced guides will introduce you to the techniques of ice canoeing: try your hand at scootering and rowing. At the halfway point: hot chocolate and pastries, an experience with a historical dimension and a unique ambience, as the sun sets.

The only prerequisite: motivation and curiosity to discover something new, with a great group of girls. We'll provide you with an aperitif after the outing, and keep warm to reminisce about the day's highlights.

INCLUSIONS

  • Welcome to the customer area, presentation of the business and its historical role.
  • Practical and safety training.
  • Specialized equipment on loan: neoprene socks and boots, crampons, PFDs and even mittens!
  • 90-minute guided tour of the river.
  • Hot snack: halfway down the river, the canoe stops on an ice floe. We enjoy hot chocolate and pastries.
  • Souvenir photos of the activity
  • Sauna access
  • Aperitif

EXCLUSIONS

SCHEDULE
3:00 pm - Arrival
3:30 pm - Departure by canoe
6:00 pm - End of activity, aperitif and sauna

MATERIALS

  • Basic technical sweater (1): breathable garment that acts as a base layer (lifa, merino, etc.).
  • Intermediate technical jersey (optional): depending on your comfort needs, you can add an intermediate technical garment for extra warmth.
  • Lightweight winter coat: softshell or windproof, lightweight winter coats provide protection from wind and cold.
  • Socks (2 pairs): one thin pair and one warm pair (in merino wool, for example)
  • Legging (1): pantyhose-type pants that act as a base layer (lifa, merino, etc.).
  • Intermediate technical pants (1): tights-type technical pants for the lower body. Slightly thicker than the base layer, they provide warmth and insulation against the wind. Snow pants are also suitable.
  • Head: Take along a toque and neck warmer made from breathable materials designed for sports.
  • Sunglasses: not necessary, but recommended if you are sensitive to light.
  • Mittens: Ice canoe mittens are provided.
  • Specialized equipment on loan (neoprene socks and boots, crampons, PFDs and mittens).
  • Bathing suit and towel to enjoy the sauna
  • A change of clothes to keep dry for the aperitif
  • Water bottle
