GROUP DESCRIPTION
Introduction to climbing (ratio 1:10)
For girls with little or no climbing experience, or who want to improve their climbing skills. This group focuses on climbing techniques, belaying and knots for safe climbing. You'll learn the basic use of equipment: shoes, harness, belay system and figure-of-eight knot. Towards the end of the course, we'll introduce you to independent rock climbing (abseiling and safety aspects). It's the perfect time to challenge yourself or try something completely new, in a safe, supervised environment on a training wall. No experience necessary, and lots of fun in store!
Progression in climbing and autonomy in outdoor climbing (ratio 1:6)
For girls who already have experience of indoor and/or outdoor climbing and who can belay. This group will enable you to become autonomous in outdoor top-roping. You'll learn about belaying, abseiling, safety aspects and climbing techniques. Notions: use of equipment, knots, safety in a vertical environment, setting up belays, abseiling and retrieving equipment.
