The Mauricie Cycling Club is pleased to offer a group dedicated to more advanced techniques for gaining flow on intermediate and advanced trails. This group is for advanced mountain bikers and will be led by our coach, Alexandre Turcotte.
We will work on skills that will allow you to gain confidence, minimize the risk of injury, and know your limits so you know when to say "no, thank you!" (that famous pressure among friends).
How to tackle breaks of various heights
How to find your "flow" and maintain your speed without pedaling.
How to gain confidence when riding machine-cut turns (the famous "berms") and flat turns
How to negotiate steeper sections with appropriate braking techniques
How to assess and negotiate varied and unstable surfaces (roots, sand, mud, leaves, etc.)
We reserve the right to change your group if your level does not match the prerequisites for the advanced group.
