The Laurentides Downhill Improvement Club offers four 2-hour sessions that will help you review and reinforce certain basic skills: line choice, adapting to varied terrain, front-to-back balance, and varying turn radii—in short, techniques that will help you feel confident on the slopes. If your next goal is to discover new areas, treat yourself to a ski trip, or explore more challenging terrain in the Gaspé Peninsula, the Downhill Improvement Club is for you.
Classes will take place on the slopes of the Sommets Saint-Sauveur. Thanks to the experts from the ski schools and our ambassadors— Chèvres —you’ll learn in a pleasant environment, free from the pressure to perform. What sets us apart? Groups of six, ensuring more personalized feedback and high-quality instruction.
Every other Tuesday evening: January 5, January 19, February 2, and February 16
6:45 p.m. — We’ll meet at the ski school’s meeting point, ready to hit the slopes
7:00 p.m. — We’ll take the lift to start the session
9:00 p.m. — End of the coaching session
RESCHEDULING DATE in the event of a resort closure due to bad weather—The week following the missed session —You must be available.
Given the nature of the winter season, conditions may not be perfect for every session. However, if the ski resort is open and the ski school is operating, lessons will take place as scheduled. In the event of extreme weather (blizzard, extreme cold [-40], blowing snow, or black ice), the lesson will be canceled and rescheduled.
*You'll notice that prices have changed this year and vary by region to accommodate the different rates at ski resorts.
Lift tickets are not included with registration but are available as an option if you don't have a ski pass. You don't have to buy them right now; you have until December 10 to purchase them via Chèvres, and the price will not change.
