The Downhill Improvement Club was created in response to our community's craze for off-piste skiing, by offering 2-hour lessons every other Tuesday at Les Sommets Saint-Sauveur ski resort. The club's objective is firstly to review certain downhill techniques on the slopes, develop new skills and then be able to consolidate what you've learned and transpose it to the off-piste sectors you'll be exploring outside the lessons. We often forget that off-piste technique is learned and mastered first and foremost on the slopes of our favorite ski resorts!
The club is therefore aimed at skiers who are not in their first season, but who need to review or learn certain downhill techniques to gain confidence and move into off-piste areas. Our team of certified coaches and passionate trainers will provide you with an enjoyable, skill-building learning experience so you can feel more stable, confident and in control of your equipment.
This winter, we will only have ski groups. We will have one group for those who already know how to ski but are still beginners and want to gain confidence, and another group for more experienced skiers who want to develop new skills.
Tuesday evenings, every two weeks: January 6, January 20, February 3 and February 17
6:45pm - We meet at the ski school meeting point, ready to hit the slopes
7:00pm - We take the lift to start the session
9:00pm - End of coaching evening
RESUMED DATE in the event of resort closure due to bad weather - The week following the missed session - You must be available.
The winter season being what it is, conditions may not be perfect for every session. However, if the ski resort is open and the ski school is holding classes, they will take place. In the event of extreme weather (blizzard, extreme cold -40, blowing snow and freezing rain), the course will be cancelled and resumed.
