Winter expeditions are the art of transforming a hostile environment into a playground for adventure. Braving the cold, trekking with snowshoes and all your gear, setting up an efficient camp in the snow: every action becomes a question of efficiency and self-reliance. This introduction to winter expeditions is for those who want to go beyond simple winter camping and develop the essential skills to undertake longer and more demanding adventures. The program includes moving from camp to camp, planning an outing, managing equipment, food, and humidity, as well as techniques for settling in comfortably despite the conditions. Three intensive days to build the foundations of self-sufficiency on an expedition.
Sleeping outdoors in winter is such an incredible experience! Even more so when the right techniques are taught. This weekend of snowshoeing and winter camping is a unique opportunity to learn how to sleep comfortably and manage winter elements like cold and humidity. What's more, knowing how to camp in winter allows you to explore certain territories on your own. You won't regret it!
