Challenging terrain, tree runs, natural snow—it can all be very intimidating! That’s why we’ve created a downhill skills development day at Mont Sutton to help you prepare and build confidence on natural terrain. The day is organized as a ski or snowboard lesson that includes instruction focused on downhill techniques designed to help you gain confidence and feel more comfortable exploring different types of terrain, both natural and controlled. Depending on the conditions on the day, the lessons will be adapted to maximize learning and progress. The goal is to practice in a controlled environment: a ski resort!
You’ll spend the day at the Sutton ski resort enjoying the lifts, making the most of your lessons, and gaining the skills you need to build confidence and learn how to handle all kinds of conditions and terrain. This is an excellent first step toward achieving your goals on ungroomed terrain or for your next ski trip. You’ll be guided by the ski school team throughout the day so you can learn and improve.
This workshop is for women who want to build their confidence so they can tackle more challenging terrain—such as when traveling, for example. How do you choose your line and string together a few turns when there are trees, bumps, and no trail? Lots of practice ahead.
