The forest orienteering training course is designed to help you develop your sense of direction in a natural environment using the terrain, a map, and a compass. These practical skills will give you confidence when you're out on your own. The training focuses on hiking on marked trails, but what you learn can easily be applied in other contexts.
The aim of this forest orientation course is to equip you to be confident in the wilderness. These basic notions are often overlooked, even though they are essential in many outdoor contexts. Give yourself some extra knowledge in your adventurous toolbox!

To put what we've learned into practice, we'll be doing an out-and-back hike of around 10km, with about 450m of positive ascent. This itinerary will be modified as necessary to meet the day's objectives, bearing in mind that this is not a hike, but an orienteering course on a marked trail.
Please note: This training course is recognized by Rando Québec. You will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
