A first for Chèvres: a completely self-sufficient sea kayaking expedition. We're off to Baja California's Sea of Cortes to explore the Loreto National Marine Park, its islands and part of the coast over 6 days. In these unspoilt, protected places, we'll be able to see species unique to the world, explore wild beaches and discover the wonders of underwater life.
A trip to fill up on warmth and sunshine, guided by our dear Renée-Claude Bastien and an experienced local guide. An expedition far from the beaten track, with the flavour of Chèvres.

THE SPIRIT OF THE JOURNEY
Experience a real sea kayaking expedition in Baja California. On this kayaking expedition in Mexico, you'll discover part of the Sea of Cortes in Baja California!
The Sea of Cortes (also known as the Gulf of California) lies between the desert peninsula of Baja California and the northwest coast of Mexico. Sun and warmth are the order of the day. Admittedly, the sea can be a little rough at times, but don't worry: it's at these moments that we drop our kayaks to explore the desert and its cacti.
You'll spend the first half of the trip exploring the isolated islands near Loreto and the miles of unspoilt nature along the coast afterwards. These places are preserved and protected, so we'll have the opportunity to see some of the world's most unique species and unspoilt beaches. You'll have the chance to dive and discover the wonders of underwater life.
This trip includes a half-day excursion to observe gray whales in their birthplace on the Pacific side: local guides take us aboard pangas (small boats) to
see them.
ACCOMMODATION_ - _Comfort level 2/5 - Rustic without services
We stay in eco-accommodation by the sea on the first and last nights.
During the kayak expedition, nights are spent camping.
FOOD
LUGGAGE
A completely self-sufficient kayak expedition means "less space for luggage". Common equipment (tents, kitchen, tarpaulin, toilet, food, water) must fit in the kayak boxes. For personal equipment (clothing, sleeping bag, toilet kit, snorkeling gear), it's essential to carry small waterproof bags (5-10 liters) and to respect the equipment list provided.

This trip is accessible to almost everyone.
From a physical point of view, the stages are not difficult. You do, however, need to be able to squat for a wide variety of activities, get in and out of your kayak without assistance, and help carry the boat onto the beach. But above all, you need to enjoy paddling!
If the trip doesn't require any previous sea-kayaking skills, you need to make sure that paddling 4 to 5 hours a day for a week will be a pleasure.
Of course, knowing how to swim is essential.
