A unique adventure in the Sahara desert, with no pressure to perform, that perfectly combines effort with the discovery of Moroccan culture. We're off to explore the Drâa Valley, for 10 days of discovery. Far from the traditional itineraries, you'll discover the varied landscapes the desert has to offer: dunes, arid plateaus, oases, palm groves and superb Kasbahs, with starry nights camping!

THE SPIRIT OF THE JOURNEY
Far from the usual itineraries, a camel trek along the Drâa hamada, to discover a magnificent variety of landscapes: eroded mountains, regs, dunes and oases. The ideal trek to discover the desert atmosphere, without pressure, while enjoying contact with the local culture and community.

The group travels on foot, but luggage, bivouac equipment, supplies and water for the trek are transported by camel. You carry only your backpack and personal belongings for the day.

WHO THIS TRIP IS FOR
ITINERARY
Days1-2 - Montreal - Marrakech
Fly to Marrakech, meet our team at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 3 - Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Tidri Dunes
Approximately 400 km drive (7-8 hrs) to cross the High Atlas via Taddert, then the Tizi N'Tichka pass.
Meeting with our camel drivers who will accompany us throughout the trek.
First night under the stars in a bivouac.
Days 4 and 5 - Tidri dunes - Regabi Hniti
Start of the hike, along the Drâa hamada through palm groves.
Cross the bed of the Drâa.
Sunrise over the dunes and walk on the Tidri plateau.
Days 6 and 7 - Regabi Hniti - Ouled Driss
Two last days of hiking.
En route, we'll stop off at a prehistoric site.
We'll be in Nouaji territory.
Night in the desert facing Djebel Bani.
The last day takes us to the Drâa plameraie and the village of Bounou, before arriving at the Ouled Driss camp, where we'll sleep in traditional Berber tents.
Day 8 - Ouled Driss - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Early morning departure for Marrakech. Arrive late afternoon and check into hotel.
Day 9 - Marrakech
Visit Marrakech, the "Pearl of the South"
Lunch at a local restaurant
Discover the city, its ancient palaces, history, medina and souks.
Day 10 - Return to Quebec
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for the return flight.

This trip is accessible to all.
This trek in Morocco presents no particular technical difficulties, as it is a camel trek, meaning that pack camels carry all the logistics. All you need to carry is a small day's backpack. Walks last from 4 to 6 hours a day. It's the ideal trek for an introduction to the desert.
